Temporary Closures Announced for Little Bealings Railway Crossing
Drivers passing through Little Bealings are being advised to plan ahead this December, as Network Rail carries out essential maintenance and renewal work on the railway line.
The level crossing in Little Bealings will be closed to all traffic during several periods to allow engineers to complete track renewal and routine maintenance safely.
The confirmed closure dates and times are as follows:
• From 11pm on Thursday, 5 December until 7.20am on Sunday, 8 December – for Network Rail track renewal works.
• From 11pm on Friday, 13 December until 7.20am on Sunday, 15 December – continuation of renewal works.
• From 11pm on Saturday, 21 December until 6am on Sunday, 22 December – for scheduled yearly maintenance.
During these times, no vehicles will be able to cross, and motorists are advised to follow local diversion routes that will be clearly signposted. Pedestrian access may also be restricted for safety reasons while works are in progress.
Network Rail have said that there are currently no plans for any long-term or permanent closure of the level crossing.
